Do you take or have you taken life drawing classes before? If so, how much does your style vary in comparison to the work you do at home/ from reference?
I’ve not ever taken life drawing classes.
I always see your art on my dash and I think it's fantastic. What's your story, like how you got started? I'm struggling with the idea of pursuing art professionally and from all the posts and your talent, I'm wondering are you able to make a living solely on art? Or a substantial part of your income? Do you have any tips or advice or a beginner? I'm afraid I don't have it in me to be professional. I'd love some help!
I’ve worn a lot of hats professionally in my 30 years, and I will say being an artist is absolutely the most difficult profession I’ve ever undertaken. I live solely off my artwork. I have enough money to pay my bills, and that’s pretty much it. It’s very difficult. I pretty much work, in some capacity, from the time I’m awake until I go to sleep. It’s a really fun job, but it’s also all consuming. You must be on call at all times, and if you’re not you’ll easily miss opportunities.
